Registration
To register for a class, please print out the Course Registration Form, and mail it to the Arkansas Craft School, P.O. Box 2694, Mountain View, AR 72560. Tuition and Enrollment
Enrollment is limited and advance registration is required. One half (1/2) the tuition is due at registration. The remaining one half (1/2) is due one month before the scheduled class.
Materials Fee
Most classes are subject to a materials fee ranging from $5 – to as much as $350; depending on the needs of the course. Students pay the instructor for this on the first day of class. Materials fees are listed with the course offerings.
Refunds/Cancellations
If it is necessary for the Arkansas Craft School to cancel a class for any reason, students will be notified and offered another class or a full refund.
If a student must cancel a class, tuition is refundable only if notice of cancellation is received in writing and postmarked four weeks prior to the beginning of your workshop. After that date, there is no refund.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available to qualifying students. If you apply for scholarship consideration, tuition is not due until scholarship determination. Lodging
The Arkansas Craft School’s Artisan Studio is located in the heart of downtown Mountain View, just off the Square, where students can find a motel, Bed and Breakfasts, restaurants and cafes, specialty shops and, of course, the sites for evening Music on the Square. A brochure from the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce will be included with each student’s registration packet to ensure early lodging reservations in the town of Mountain View. Or you may call the Chamber at (870) 269-8068 for lodging options.
Occasionally, Arkansas Craft School courses are held at alternative locations such as Ozarka College, the Ozark Folk Center or at the Artisan Instructor’s professional studio. Students will be advised of lodging options for these alternative locations upon enrollment.
Directions
Maps and directions to your classroom will be sent with your registration packet.
Continuing Education Credit
Continuing Education Credits for Arkansas Craft School courses are available through our partnering organization, Ozarka College. In addition, Arkansas Craft School courses may count towards degree credit through Ozarka’s “Entrepreneurship for Artisan’s Program”. Studio Safety
Students need to be made aware that in many classes, you will be working with tools, equipment or materials which if improperly or carelessly used have the potential to cause injury. Instructors of the Arkansas Craft School will provide training and supervision in the proper use of these tools. However, students assume the risks of working with the tools, equipment and materials required by and provided for your class.
